  1. I went to visit a friend for the weekend. Memphis is a cool spot but I wouldn’t go there again, or just for the city itself. The downtown area is very small and the surrounding area is pretty run down. Had the best ribs I’ve ever had in my life. Place is cool!

  2. The number one tourist attraction of Memphis is obviously Elvis’s mansion in Graceland. That’s also the only reason why I want to go to Memphis being an Elvis fan.

  3. Longtime Memphian here. 1. No, you don’t need half a day to see the civil rights museum. You can get through it and see everything thoroughly within two hours at most. 2. Be very very careful on Beale Street. If you get off the beaten path at night or in dark areas you will likely get robbed. 3. Big River Crossing is nice if you walk or run. You can also rent a bike. It’s not very scenic but it’s great for exercise in spring or fall. 4. The Zoo is definitely worth it. As the narrator says, it’s one of the best.

  4. The number 1 thing to do while in Memphis is GET AWAY. Its not worth visiting if youre risking getting murdered…

  5. I was in Memphis in October and the second day we saw someone with a g@n but we were safe we were there for 2 weeks but the bass pro shop was my favorite and the Peabody duck ceremony was so fun Graceland was cool to the civil rights museum was so cool and now Spence that it’s January it’s Martin Luther king day so I got to show my friends that I’ve been to the place were he was shot

  6. Don’t come. Don’t. I mean it. The place is extremely dangerous. It was just Memphis. Now it is everywhere in the city. The city is a symbol of failure. There were 2 bank robberies within 10 minutes on 10/21/2023. Just in ONE single day.

  7. Theres not a lot to do in memphis. U have to be pretty chill and alright with just looking at stuff. Even then, theres not much to look at
That being said, check out the memphis library. Its pretty extensive. The mephid zoo is fun. And the flower garden is also a good place to go to. Kids museum as well.
